FAQs

How much money do I have to spend on ads?

There is no exact figure for this and the best part about running ads on Google is that you can manually bid on specific terms and control exactly how much your spend per day and what you spend it on. We recommend a minimum of €10 per day for small businesses/start ups but this should scale up as you see more leads. Of course, the more ad spend you have the more results you will get.

When setting up a campaign on Google, you can run different types of ads. Firstly, search engine campaigns, these are the common sponsored ads you see on Google when searching for something. Secondly, you can run display ads, which are usually images on popular webpages advertising and linking to your website. Lastly, you can run video ads that feature on YouTube.

Depending on your audience and budget, you may need a combination of these ad types.

After you have setup your campaign, Google suggests a waiting time between 24-48 hours until they can review and approve/disapprove your ad. However, it is usually much faster than that.

There are many reasons why your ads can stop showing, most commonly:

1. Budget issues: if your payment didn’t go through or if you already spent your daily ad budget early in the day, they will no longer show up until the next day.

2. Disapproved ads: if your ads have some issues or conflicts in the text or images.

3. Negative keywords: you may have contradicted your ads by adding negative keywords with the same terminology as your actual keywords.

4. Scheduling or targeting issues: if you have setup specific scheduling across the week or targeting a narrow audience, you may not get significant results.

These two marketing channels are very different and ultimately the right service will depend on your objectives. SEO is a long-term marketing service where you will expect to see results over 3-6 months. On the other hand, Google Ads is used for more short-term goals and can give you a bit more control over your data.

PPC is a form of ads, Pay Per Click, which simply means you pay for each click on your ad to your website. This is different to other ad formats, like you see on social media, where you pay for awareness rather than clicks to your website. The benefit of PPC ads is that you can control how much you pay to get specific users to your website.

A landing page will be specifically designed and developed to help increase conversions from your Google campaigns.

Landing pages are different to your standard website as they can focus more specifically on what you are trying to sell, without any distractions to other areas on your website.
